About Blake

Blake Longley, co-owner and co-founder of Valiant Support Services, has seven years of accounting and bookkeeping experience with various public and private accounting firms. He began his career as a staff accountant with Carney & Longley LLC before moving to RSM US LLP. While at RSM, Blake was able to grow his career as a tax accountant and specialized with various high net worth individuals, estates, & trust clients. Along with this, Blake was able to obtain extensive Excel analysis, tax projection, estimated tax preparation, and income tax preparation knowledge. Later in his career, Blake moved to 14 West where he took a position as a Senior General Ledger Accountant. In this position he was able to gain experience with month, quarter, and year end closing procedures. His duties included, but were not limited to account reconciliation, income statement analysis, fixed asset classification, journal entry preparation, inventory reconciliation, real estate entity bookkeeping, and invoice approval. Blake grew up in Ellicott City, Maryland and attended Mount Saint Joseph High School in Baltimore. After high school, Blake attended the University of Alabama where he received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce & Business Administration (Accounting Major) with a minor in Technology. Blake was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order (Social Fraternity) and Beta Alpha Psi (Business Honors Fraternity).

About Eric

Eric Schroeder, co-owner and co-founder of Valiant Support Services, has a combined 10 years of logistics and engineering experience in both the private and public sectors. He began his career as the operations manager for Castlebridge Energy Group, a natural gas and electric supply company, where he was responsible for all of the day to day operations of the natural gas division of the company as well as forecasting, scheduling the purchase of power and creating business processes for the electric division. Eric has held various business, logistics, and engineering positions at Lockheed Martin, Mantech International, and Oceaneering International. In these positions, he has had extensive experience with inventory management, supply support, sustainment operations and data analysis. Along with this, Eric has been able to gain a thorough understanding of financial modeling, market analysis, and life cycle logistics. Additionally, Eric also serves as an Engineering Staff Officer in the Maryland Air National Guard, supporting Major Commands and Numbered Air Force staffs for command and control of engineer forces, fire protection management, engineering projects and technical assistance. Eric grew up in Severna Park, Maryland and attended Mount Saint Joseph High School in Baltimore. After high school, Eric attended Loyola University Maryland where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

About Tom

Tom Shipley, co-owner and co-founder of Valiant Support Services, LLC, has more than 10 years of logistics experience working with commercial and government entities. He began his career as a Logistics Technician for ManTech International with duties that included managing customer stockrooms and coordinating the receipt and shipment of government equipment. During his time at ManTech, Tom was able to quickly advance to the title of Senior Logistics Technician while also assuming the roles of Property Officer and COMSEC Custodian. Within these roles, Tom was responsible for managing the inbound and outbound of government equipment, conducting property audits/inventories, and supporting various customer missions and training exercises. Later, Tom advanced his career by accepting a position at Oceaneering International where he has since been serving as the Senior Provisioning/Supply Analyst. Over the course of his career, Tom has been able to gain extensive knowledge of acquisition, procurement, life cycle logistics, supply chain/warehouse management, inventory management, and various government policies and procedures. Tom grew up in Arnold, Maryland and attended Broadneck High School. After high school, Tom attended University of Maryland University College in Adelphi, Maryland where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Homeland Security and a minor in Political Science.
